Blogs are popping up everywhere. The blogosphere has become huge and now you want to know how you can make money as a blogger.

Sounds great, doesn’t sit? Sit at home all day. Get up when you want. Work when you want. Stroll a few fee from your bed to your home office, turn on the computer.

Make some posts on your blog. Check and see how much money you made while you slept. But how do you do it? How do you make money blogging?Yes, you can blog for profit.

But you need to keep in mind, that starting a blogging business is still work. Sure, there are a lot of advantages, like those mentioned above, to many other jobs or businesses you could start. But if you want to make a full time living blogging, you need to treat it like a serious business.Most people who start blogs fail to make any money, just like most people who start businesses, see those businesses fail in the first five years.

So how do you avoid the same fate?
First, you have to have realistic expectations. Don’t let all the internet marketing sales letters you see put it in your head that you can start a blog, work 1 or 2 hours a day and be raking in more cash than you can handle within a month. It’s not going to happen.

People with those kinds of expecations will quit long before they see any results with their blog because their expectations are unrealistic.

Another problem is the lack of a plan. As I mentioned above, blogging for profit is a business.

You need to treat it like one and that means having a business plan. Put together a realistic business plan and then stick with it.Understand that the most important aspect of running your blog is marketing your blog.

No, it’s not the quality of your writing (although that has to be good, too). Why? Because, no matter how good your writing may be, if no one visits your blog, if you don’t get traffic, you won’t make any money.
